Dr. Marcus Dunn is a native of in South Charleston, WV and a graduate of West Virginia University and Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, IA where he received his Doctor of Chiropractic. Upon graduating from Chiropractic school in 1988 he returned to West Virginia where he accepted a position as an associate doctor in one of the largest and most successful practices in the state. After 3 ½ years in that position he opened Capital City Chiropractic in Charleston, WV which grew into a successful practice serving the needs of the surrounding communities. After a 10-year detour to Des Moines, IA, Dr. Dunn relocated to Charlotte in 2011 where he opened Dunn Chiropractic in the Cotswold neighborhood.

At Dunn Chiropractic we do Chiropractic differently than what most people envision. We like to say that it is Chiropractic Dunn Right! We believe that specializing in one thing and doing it well is better than trying to “specialize” in many things. With that in mind, our focus is on the delivery of excellent Chiropractic adjustments to restore normal spine and nervous system function. Dr. Dunn is not your average Chiropractor due in part to something we call the Activator Advantage. While he has trained in the more common methods that involve twisting, cracking and popping the spine he has specialized in Activator Methods Chiropractic Technique (“Activator”) for over 25 years, has achieved an Advanced Proficiency Rating and has been selected to the small group of doctors who train Chiropractic students and other doctors in the technique. Activator was developed over 50 years ago and has proven to be highly effective due in large part to its advanced, precise analysis and its safe, gentle approach.

Outside of the office Dr. Dunn enjoys spending time with family, exploring the country on his motorcycle, running, volunteering and doing home improvement projects.
